Therapy
I draw from a strengths-based and family systems perspective, and my style is collaborative, warm, and active. My goal is to help children, adolescents, and young adults build the insight and skills they need to navigate life’s transitions with confidence and resilience.
I’m passionate about early intervention, supporting children and teens as they develop the emotional and relational tools that lay the foundation for a healthy adulthood. Adolescence is a time of tremendous growth, and I believe deeply in each young person’s innate resilience and strengths. By identifying and building on what makes them unique, we can work together to help them thrive through the challenges of growing up.
In my work, I often incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients regulate emotions, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and practice effective coping and communication skills.
It is my strong belief that family and parenting support is a core component of working with adolescents, as a connected and healthy family system can have a powerful impact on a young person’s sense of safety and belonging. I know that all adolescents want to feel loved and understood, and all parents want to feel connected to their children. From the very first session, I work collaboratively with families to find ways for parents to be involved in a supportive and meaningful way, so that every young person feels seen, supported, and encouraged by the adults in their life.
